
Chess is a millennia old board game which develops problem solving, focus and teaches students the importance of taking responsibility and reflecting on mistakes.
The North Sydney Girls Chess Club is meeting place where both casual and competitive students of all grades come together to learn chess, solve puzzles, and play chess against one another.
There are numerous opportunities for members to participate in events such as one day inter-school chess tournaments, the Term 2 NSW Junior Chess League, mini intra-club competitions, and after-school chess coaching.
Eligibility: Years 7-12. Novice to expert – all skill levels welcome!
