Our communication protocols have been put together to ensure that your enquiry reaches the appropriate staff member and is dealt with in a timely manner.
Parents
If you need to speak with a teacher, please contact the school’s front office during school hours - 8:00am - 3:30pm - preferably via email so that your enquiry can be passed onto the relevant staff member: northsydgi-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au
Any contact outside of school hours should be directed to the school’s email.
Students
Please arrange to speak directly with a teacher or other staff members during school hours: 8:00am - 3:30pm.
Staff will only respond to your email during school hours using their DoE email. Staff are not required to respond to your email if sent outside of these school hours. Please note that DoE policy does not allow staff to share their personal phone number or email with students.
If you have an emergency outside of school hours, you should speak with your parent/s in the first instance and if this is not possible, you should phone 000 (see below for emergency contacts).
If your contact is of a more general nature, such as informing the school of illness, then you should send an email to the school’s email or phone the school directly on 9922 6666 so that your message can be passed onto the relevant staff member.
