Community involvement

Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

NSGHS has a vibrant, committed parent community which is highly engaged in supporting learning and teaching activities to give our girls the best possible range of opportunities.  The purpose of P&C is to:

• Represent all parents, promoting positive communication and community spirit within the school
• Support the school actively in providing additional resources and opportunities for enhanced student educational experience and wellbeing

Our programs include extra-curricular sports, co-curricular music, the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme and the essential services of the canteen and clothing pool (second hand uniforms).

NSGHS Foundation

NSGHS Foundation works closely with the P&C and School Executive to secure funds for key projects and ‘big ticket’ items required by the school.

The Foundation is an incorporated association and all donations are tax deductible

NSGHS Old Girls Union

NSGHS Old Girls Union helps ex-students to keep in touch with developments at the school and future activities.

Each year they typically organise an Annual Dinner and Anniversary Reunions for past students. Members also receive regular newsletters.
