Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowledge that our learning takes place on the beautiful lands of the Cammeraygal people.
I would like to pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. I extend that respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples here today.
We will work in collaboration with Indigenous people to ensure our school community has a deep understanding of the richness and diversity of Aboriginal culture and histories. We aim to ensure that all students achieve their potential and will endeavour to meet the social, emotional, spiritual and cultural needs of all individuals.
Our Vision
At North Sydney Girls High School, we aspire to live our motto Ad Altiora—"towards higher things"—by striving for personal bests in a learning environment that nurtures identity, encourages reflection, and promotes respectful, collaborative relationships. In a culture of academic excellence, we value lifelong learning and support students in developing resilience, confidence, leadership, and a strong sense of voice. Our students are empowered to set and achieve individual goals and to contribute meaningfully to society, both during their time at school and beyond.
We are committed to creating a community of inclusivity, kindness, and respect, underpinned by the core values of public education. In partnership with students, families, and staff, we foster innovation and evidence-based practice to meet the unique needs of gifted learners. We respectfully acknowledge that our learning takes place on the lands of the Cammeraygal people and are dedicated to deepening our understanding of Aboriginal culture, histories, and perspectives. Our goal is for every student to reach their full potential—socially, emotionally, spiritually, and culturally.

Academic
The school's high academic profile and reputation as a leading girls school rests on its outstanding results in external examinations.
Year 12 students consistently achieve state placings with the majority of students gaining ATAR ranks or 95 or more. Generally, around 20-30% of students earn ATAR ranks of 99-99.95.
Students proceed to university mostly entering their first choice courses often earning competitive scholarships, cadetships, and overseas exchanges as part of their patterns of study.
Annual Reports for each year detail academic performance in all subjects, university, and course choices, and individual achievements.
