Our Co-Curricular highlights
Co-Curricular Music
The NSGHS Co-Curricular Music (CCM) Program offers girls the opportunity to develop their musical skills, experience the thrill of performing in an excellent ensemble and enjoy friendships across the school years. A range of ensembles provides opportunities for all students at varying levels of ability. In 2024 over 300 students were involved in ensembles. The students’ dedication continued the tremendous public success and acclaim enjoyed by the groups in recent years.
We welcome all new girls and their parents to become part of this vibrant community within the school.
NSG Rowing
Our students enjoy stepping beyond the classroom to explore, learn and embrace new challenges. These experiences provide valuable opportunities to develop independence, resilience and confidence while building strong friendships and teamwork skills. Through participation in programs such as rowing, students learn the importance of commitment, discipline and perseverance as they work towards shared goals both on and off the water. These authentic learning experiences encourage students to step outside their comfort zones, discover new strengths and gain a deeper understanding of how the skills they develop at school connect to the wider world. The rowing program is a wonderful example of how experiential learning helps shape well-rounded, capable young people who are prepared to take on future challenges with confidence.
Enrichment Activities
Selective schools are in the unique situation of catering for an extremely able group of students. Our students are often multi talented but still have particular areas of greater interest, or where they display outstanding talent. As well as catering for these in our classes, we offer a program of activities to extend and engage students.
