Our School Facilities
The school’s foyer opens into a thoughtfully design that blends heritage architecture with innovative learning and sports facilities. Students enjoy a dynamic environment where traditional elements coexist with contemporary educational spaces. This unique combination supports a rich learning experience that values both history and modernity.
Throughout the school, corridors and heritage rooms showcase its distinguished legacy. Memorabilia, trophies, portraits of notable alumni, and student artworks reflect the school’s proud traditions and ongoing achievements. These historical touches serve as daily reminders of the school’s enduring values and commitment to excellence.
Classrooms are fully equipped with Interactive White Boards and benefit from a robust wireless network that supports all student devices. At the heart of the school, the air-conditioned library offers an ideal environment for research and learning, with extensive physical and digital resources, printing services, computers, and quiet study areas. Specialist facilities with modern technology cater to music, digital media, STEM, and TAS subjects, while dedicated art rooms and science labs renovated in 2022 support creative and practical learning across disciplines.
The school also boasts exceptional performance and sports facilities. The multipurpose hall, featuring lighting and sound systems, hosts assemblies, concerts, and school productions. The gymnasium, renovated in 2019 through parent contributions, includes a sprung dance floor and upgraded amenities, and opens onto the quadrangle. Outdoor courts and indoor spaces are regularly used for netball, basketball, and a wide range of curricular and extra-curricular sports programs.
Food Technology Labs
We are currently in the process of refurbishing our school’s food technology rooms to create a modern, functional, and engaging space that supports hands-on learning and culinary skills development. The upgrades include installing new, energy-efficient appliances, improving ventilation and lighting, and updating workstations with durable, easy-to-clean surfaces. The redesigned layout is being carefully planned to enhance workflow, meet current health and safety standards, and better accommodate group learning. Once complete, the refurbished rooms will provide a high-quality environment that encourages students to explore food preparation, nutrition, and essential life skills in a safe and inspiring setting.
Science Labs
In 2022, we successfully refurbished our school’s science laboratories, transforming them into modern, well-equipped spaces that support high-quality teaching and hands-on learning. The renovation included the installation of new workbenches, state-of-the-art equipment, improved storage solutions, and upgraded safety features to ensure a secure and efficient learning environment. Enhanced lighting, ventilation, and access to digital resources have further improved the functionality of the labs. These updated facilities now provide students with an engaging and inspiring space to explore scientific concepts through practical experiments and collaborative learning.
Playground Upgrade
What used to be just a lonely, neglected corner of our school has now turned into a hotspot for students to relax and study. This new furniture has made an immediate difference in both our learning environment and our school community. The addition of newly refurnished seating has transformed the area into a welcoming and inclusive space which invites all students to connect and learn alongside their peers demonstrating two of our school values: compassion and respect. Even better, a Year 11 maths class managed to convince their maths teacher to conduct their lesson outside in the shared space displaying excellence. What’s been really great to see is that not only the students but also the staff have been enjoying this space. Our school greatly cherishes this once overlooked space and looks forward to using it not only now, but in the future as well. We can already tell this spot will be a favourite for many years to come. We would like to thank the P&C for their donation of $30,000 towards this project and A.W.Edwards from whom we received a $10,000 grant from.
