Year 10 Work Experience
All year 10 students participate in a week or work experience. It is a fantastic opportunity for students to engage in a career area of interest and experience the workplace.
Work Experience takes place during the week of Monday 23rd November to Friday 27th November 2026 (Week 7 Term 4). It is a fantastic opportunity for students to engage in a career area of interest and experience the workplace. Students are responsible for finding their own placement though can visit the Careers Staffroom for support.
Student Placement Record (SPR): This is the official work experience document. Students must coordinate the completion of the SPR form in order to secure their placement.
Completed SPR forms are due to Careers Advisers before Friday 16th October 2026 (Week 1, Term 4).
WORK EXPERIENCE DOCUMENTATION:
- 2026 Student Placement Record (SPR) student, host, parent/carer and Careers Adviser to complete. DUE TO CAREERS before Friday 16 October 2026.
- Letter to Host send this to the host once placement is confirmed.
- Workplace Learning Guide for Employers send this to the host for their information.
- Insurance Document Certificate of Currency 2025-2026 2025-26 document - send to your host. Updated version for 2026-27 will be released by the Department of Education soon.
- Workplace Learning Guide for Parents/Carers for you and your parent/carer to read.
- Additional Information for Parents
Students can visit the Careers Staffroom or make an appointment if they need support.
